LLL Team Ability, New EEs, New Characters, Updated Skills, Updated Player Builds

Version 1.4.4 update for SSFormation has been released. Here are the changes in this update:

The following new characters have been added to the database: Nari (Ardor), Miri (Whirlwind), Alexa (Light), Vanity (Thunder), Loki (Ardor), Danbi (Thunder), Taehoon (Ardor), Krishna (Dark)

The following EEs have been added to the database: Sage (EE), Xing (EE), Pinol (EE), Kyosuke (EE)

Following the addition of the new EEs, the skills of the aforementioned EEs have been implemented: Xing (EE), Kyosuke (EE), Pinol (EE), Hyang Ran, the Shaman (EE)

The skills of Nabi (Ardor) and Miri (Whirlwind) have been implemented as well.

The skill builds of some players are outdated, and have been revisisted: Jiho (Ardor), Black Tortoise (Whirlwind), Duran (Whirlwind), Nerua (Thunder), Bora (Ardor), Chitose (Light), Lindberg (Dark)

The skill builds of Miri & Nabi have been added.

Team Ability formula has been revisited. The TA can now go up to LLL.

Developer's End Note:

We are sorry for the late update. Albeit late, the new characters are now all added to the database. You can now enjoy building your teams with the new players!

We are currently working on implementing the 5 new Unique Stones into the app, and we hope that everyone can be patient with us while we work on the new display format.

New EEs, New Characters, Updated Skills, Updated Positional Bonuses, Future of SSFormation

Version 1.4.3 update for SSFormation has been released. Here are the changes in this update:

The following EEs have been added to the database: Jury (EE), Hamerus (EE), Cashlove (EE), Jade Rakshasa (EE), Damien (EE), Altair (EE)

The following characters have been added to the database: Chundo (Ardor), Black Horns (Dark), Na Yang Ho (Ardor), Parabellum (Light), Lai Gayle (Whirlwind)

Following the addition of the new EEs, the skills of the aforementioned EEs have been implemented: Jury (EE), Hamerus (EE), Cashlove (EE), Jade Rakshasa (EE), Damien (EE), Altair (EE)

Note*: We will be following this trend in the future. Whenever new EEs are released, their skills will be updated with them. Therefore for the new characters (Na Yang Ho, Lai Gayle, etc.) we will not be implementing their skills for the time being. We appreciate your patience & understanding!

Skills of players have been updated as of the recent balance patches: Erica, Avnore, Beth, Bell, Aiolos, Presty, Jibril

Positional bonuses of players have been re-visited and updated.

Developer's End Note:

We were initially thinking of releasing v1.4.3 together with the 3rd year anniversary patch with all the major changes, but we figured it'd take a little too long, and hence we decided to roll out an early release due to the large amount of new players and EEs.

3rd Year Patch: Since there are new unique stones, we will be modifying the way the UQs are displayed. This might take a little while so we might not be able to roll out an update of SSFormation immediatey after the 3rd year update. Once again, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Skill Builds: We will release an entire update with the sole purpose of implementing new player builds in the future (after the 3rd year update), but for now, we'll be focusing on adding new players and bringing the new content of the 3rd year patch to SSFormation.

Version 1.4.0 Major Update

[SSFormation - v1.4.0 Major Update]

Save & Load, Skills (Beta), Partner-In-Crime (Alpha)

Version 1.4.0 update for SSFormation has been released. Here are the changes in this major update:

Before we begin, almost all the update content from this release is from our users. We would like to thank everyone for providing suggestions and feedback on the app. Here are the few suggestions we have implemented:

Thanks everyone for their suggestions! Now on to the update details:

Skills (Beta) has been implemented! We have constantly been getting suggestions from users to add this feature into the app, and its finally coded in. A skill icon is now visible beside the recommended build icon and will be dimmed if the player's skills aren't available. Even though the feature has been coded and implemented, we have yet to implement all the skills for every player. Implementing them would take up a huge chunk of time, which is why we will add them batch by batch following every update to SSFormation. At the moment, all legendaries and widely used 5* players (EEs) have their skills implemented. Do be patient and lookout for future updates with new skills implemented!

We have also finally implemented the long awaited Save & Load feature! The formation will now be saved automatically upon exiting the application, and will load the last formation upon start-up. In order for this feature to function correctly, please exit the application properly by clicking on the "X" button on the top right corner of the screen (only for Mobile devices). We will be expanding on this feature in the future, to cater for > 1 save slot thus the ability to store multiple formations.

Recommended build icon has been changed.

We have started work on "Partner-In-Crime (Alpha)". Players that work well with one another will be displayed here. The button for this has been added, and the feature will be implemented within the next few updates.

Aiolos missing EE build has been added.

"Hyunmu" has been added as an alternate name for Black Tortoise.

New command "/skill" added, to show all players with skills implemented.

Formation player info (role, rarity, type etc.) have been slightly modified to cater for skills and partner-in-crime buttons. In the future, more buttons will be added (this means more features!)

Android: Screen rotation now implemented.

You can now remove the last SPU on players by clicking on the same SPU again.

Due to the vast changes in this update, SSFormation has officially moved forward to v1.4.0.

* Updates on the new EEs & Unique Stones:

Due to the delay of the patch from Soccer Spirits, we have to unfortunately delay the update on our side as well. Rest assured we will try our best to release the new EEs and UQs asap.

We also have a Trello page now! Since the removal of the 'Dev Log' section, we are now documenting all progress and future tasks on Trello. For users that are interested or curious on the future & current progression of SSFormation, you can visit our Trello page. Link to it is also available on the top of this website. We will be adding a section catered specifically to showing links (Webpage / Patreon / Trello / YouTube / etc.) for easier access in the future. Version 1.3.4 Update

Version 1.3.4 update for SSFormation has been released. Here are the update details:

Elchitusa (Whirlwind) has been added to the database.

Since the database for SSFormation is constantly expanding with new players, we have done many background optimisations for this update. This includes the improvement of the base game engine we've initially written for SSFormation, as well as rewriting many algorithms to be dynamic and pushing them to the said backend engine, instead of coding them specifically for SSFormation (text iterations, editor scripts for creation of new players, etc). This will definitely help SSFormation with possible lag issues in the future, and we will constantly try to further improve these systems.

Next update: A big update will be coming to Soccer Spirits with the addition of 5 new unique stones and new EEs. We'll be updating the app within the following few weeks to keep up with the 3 year anniversary update. We are also aware that we've spent most of our time developing the app and have not given more attention to player builds. We will be implementing more builds in the next update as well as revisiting outdated builds on current characters

Version 1.3.2 & 1.3.3 Update

[SSFormation - v1.3.3 & v1.3.2 Update]

New EEs, new characters, and grade visuals differentiation

Version 1.3.3 (and 1.3.2 previously) update for SSFormation has been released. This post will provide the details for both v1.3.3 & v1.3.2.

The following EEs have been added to the database: Aiolos (EE), Patricia (EE), Fontus (EE)

New characters Armel (Dark), Loyce (Ardor) has been added to the database.

New superb boss Thor (Thunder) has been added to the database.

Magnus stone slot attribute error has been fixed.

Grade visuals differentiation has been implemented! Previously, all grade images are defaulted to the EE image (purple star). We have now added an algorithm to detect evolution changes, and the grade images will now display the corresponding evolution image.

The previously left out DQ alternate name has been added.

More alternate names for players have been added.

Version 1.3.1 Update

[SSFormation - v1.3.1 Update]

Ernesto EE, Micki EE, Glayde, Suggested Players Feature

Version 1.3.1 update for SSFormation has been released. Here are the changes in this update:

Ernesto (EE) has been added to the database.

Micki (EE) has been added to the database.

Glayde has been added to the database.

3 new search commands have been added: "/male", "/female", and "/build".

More player builds have been implemented.

Alternate name search function has been implemented (e.g. Searching "Nezzy" for Neraizel)

Suggested players function has been implemented. Suggested players will now be shown for each position in the formation. We hope that this will help players more with their teambuilding.

Also, we are aware that the alternate name search of "DQ" has yet to be added. It was added initially, but due to a slight version control mistake on our end, the version got rolled back and we forgot to add it back into the app. This also applies to the Patreon link bug for our web version. We apologise for this and we will add back the features in the following update.

Big Update - Version 1.3.0

[SSFormation - v1.3.0 Update]

Unique Stone Feature, Recommended Builds, etc.

A major update is here for SSFormation, here are the update details:

We've implemented player recommended builds! The optimal build for each player will be showcased in this section. There is now an icon on the left of the character display to trigger this section. This icon will be dimmed if the player does not have a recommended build available.

However since this section is brand new and still in development, some players' recommended builds are still unavailable. We have already implemented the builds for all Legendary players and some widely used 5* players (Gaphyl, Victoria, Milky Way, etc.) but we seek your patience and understanding as we continue to implement more player builds in the future.

If there are any builds that are outdated in the future (since the metagame is constantly shifting), any builds that you find not optimal, or builds that you wish to suggest to us, feel free to contact us.

Character gender icon has been implemented.

Unique stone equipping has finally been implemented! We have promised everyone to work on this feature and it has finally arrived. We thank you guys for the patience!

We have also set up a Patreon page for anyone that wishes to support the development of this project. More information is available on the "Support Us" section.

We have now removed the Dev Log section for a What's New section to solely provide information on the newest update. You can check this section to get updated on what is new on the latest SSFormation version.

We have also moved the "About" section to the top left corner of the application.

Minor UI bug fixes.

SSFormation - Now on the Google Play Store!

[SSFormation - Google Play Release]

We have now released the app on the Google Play Store!

SSFormation is now officially released on the Google Play Store, with it's latest version standing at v1.2.8.

We faced some complications at the start when trying to publish the app to the Playstore due to similarities of the app with the actual SS game. However, since this is a teambuilding tool and not a replica of the actual game, we have finally managed to officially get it published to the Playstore.

This means that Android users can now update their SSFormation app within the Playstore itself, and there is no more need to manually re-install the application every single time there is an update.

Also, there will be no ads in this application. This is an application solely to help SS players with their teams, and we do not wish to get any revenue from this. We might start up a Patreon page in the future for users that really wants to support us, but for now we do not want to plague the app with ads which takes away the user experience.

Once again, we apologise for the lack of an iOS build on iTunes, and will work towards an iOS release in the future.

First off, the SSFormation dev team wishes everyone a Merry Christmas! We hope everyone are having a good time. With that said, let's move on to the update

Version 1.2.8 update for SSFormation has been released. Here are the changes in this minor update:

We have also optimised and compressed the textures so there should be a slightly shorter loading time (web build) and a smaller APK size (Android).
